In Recognition of CPD Founder Mike Folio

When Mike Folio, Senior Vice President of Real Estate for The Home Depot, decided to retire from the company after a 16-year tenure, he was presented with an exciting opportunity. The Home Depot, recognizing great value in Mike’s extensive knowledge of retail real estate, recommended that he start a new business venture focusing specifically on commercial property disposition services.

Without missing a beat, in October 2003 Mike founded Corporate Property Dispositions, LLC to provide best in class services for sales, leasing, lease restructuring, lease terminations, and barter exchange transactions for select corporate clients throughout North America. The Home Depot, which had supported Mike in his new endeavor, became CPD’s first client – a client that continues to use CPD’s strategic services today.

Mike had a vision for CPD and laid a strong foundation for the company and its growth. After nine years at the helm, he decided to retire – this time for good! He knew he had planted the seeds for a company that would continue to grow under the direction of Ken Stephens and a seasoned real estate team.

Since Mike’s retirement, he and his wife Cheryl Levin-Folio have dedicated their time to building awareness and raising funds to combat Alzheimer’s disease. They are actively involved with the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research, and for several years have participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. In addition to being active participants in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Cheryl has written The 24-Hour Rule: Living with Alzheimer’s, which provides a variety of strategies to help those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, as well their loved ones.

In honor of Mike and all his contributions, CPD proudly supports the Alzheimer’s Association. Please join us in supporting these efforts.
